Tsavorite Garnet is not a rare gem.  There are, however, many tones and levels of saturation, as well as inclusions, which determine the quality of each stone.  Clean gems with intense saturated 'neon', or 'electric' green color  remain uncommon.

We work hard to select the finest Tsavorite Garnets we can find.  We then sacrifice between 20 and 35% of the original weight, re-cutting each gem slowly and carefully.  The result is gems which are truly superior to what is normally available in the market.

This oval weighed 2.48 carats when we selected and purchased it.  The color was outstanding, but the cutting was not.  Having fully re-cut this stone (twice), the weight is now reduced to 2.08 carats, and the stone now shows beautiful brilliance and high polish with no window or excess weight.
