"Confetti" Sunstone is Oligoclase Feldspar
in composition. The colorful flashes are caused by flecks
and platelets of Hematite. Faceted stones of good size,
minimal fracturing, and plenty colorful flashes are always a treat
to see. The rough we recently
selected and purchased is producing some really nice stones. We will
offer the best of our production until all the
stones are sold.
This is the largest faceted
'Confetti' Sunstone we have ever produced. The stone looks
much better in person than we can show in these images.
The size and quality of this pear makes it a special and
collectible gem.
