We were pleased to select and purchase several very nice Spinels in Burma.  On return to Bangkok, we had each stone completely re-cut by a skilled and experienced 'Master Lapidary'.

Among the more common grayish-purple Spinels found in Mogok, this stone has an unusually pleasant color.  The 'Radiant' pattern of facets and Aluminum Oxide polish has added impressive brilliance which we cannot capture in the photographs.

The stone is clean except for a few minute inclusions along one long edge just under the girdle.  The are not apparent without a loupe, and with a bezel setting, they will be covered.
