Gem quality Scapolite is found in a variety of
colors and in a variety of locations around the world.
Often irradiated to produce a vibrant purple
tone, untreated Scapolite can also be quite beautiful. The
brilliance is notable, and even colorless faceted Scapolite, when cut
well, does not look like quartz.
Scapolite is durable, with little cleavage and a hardness of
